About this project

A Ruby client for the Typesafe Jev model API. Install the gem and add to the application's Gemfile by executing: If bundler is not being used to manage dependencies, install the gem by executing: Set your API key once, typically in an initializer: Every question in a single query is evaluated in parallel against the same state, so adding questions costs far less than making another call. Prefer several narrow questions over one broad one. Evaluates the truth of a statement, returning a probability between 0 and 1.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Runs all questions in one query against the same state, favoring narrow questions over broad ones.
  • Scopes noul statements with optional criteria and per-question thresholds defaulting to 0.5.
  • Separates score level and label for decisions from weighted result for ranking, with ties going lower.
  • Surfaces resolved model version and token usage, with typed errors and no automatic retries.

Watch out

Reading result on an unanswered question raises Jev::Error, and result stays truthy for choice or score answers so it only narrows noul sets. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
