Jev Go — guillemus

Unofficial Go SDK for TypeSafe AI's System One API, kept deliberately minimal: one client, a state map, a map of typed questions, and answers read back by question id.

This is one of several Jev listings for the same project. The canonical entry is Jev Go — Stumble.

About this project

Unofficial Go SDK for TypeSafe AI and its Jev API. Abstractions kept very minimal. Install the SDK (Go 1.26 or newer): Set TYPESAFEAPIKEY in your environment, then create and use the client: Supports Noul, Choice, Score, structured inputs, and model listing. Use jev.NewClientWithConfig for custom settings. Learn what TypeSafe can do in the TypeSafe docs. See the examples for usage and the Go API reference for client types and options.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Needs Go 1.26 or newer; installation is a single go get, and the client reads TYPESAFE_API_KEY from the environment.
  • State is a map of strings and questions a map of typed jev.Question values, so several questions travel in one SystemOne call.
  • Covers Noul, Choice and Score questions plus structured inputs and model listing, with jev.NewClientWithConfig for custom settings.
  • The README is one page: a quickstart, a one-line feature list, and links to the TypeSafe docs, examples and pkg.go.dev.

Watch out

Unofficial and community-run, with no statement about affiliation with or support from TypeSafe. The abstractions are minimal by design, and the README only demonstrates constructing the client, one SystemOne call and reading the winning label out of Answers; it does not show how to read scores, probabilities or confidence, and it documents no error types, retries or timeouts, so treat pkg.go.dev as the reference for the surface. Expect to pin the module version in your own go.mod, since the README makes no claim about which API version the SDK tracks. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

An unofficial Go client that keeps Jev answers in your own types, so a choice over your enum yields that enum and the compiler checks the switch you write on it.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
