About this project

An async Rust SDK for decision models served through the System One API. Typed questions in, typed answers out, over one multiplexed HTTP/2 connection, with no vendor built in. Install | Quickstart | Typed answers | Configuration | [API reference][docs] | [Adapter][adapter-readme]

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Port of the official Python SDK with documented deviations; states serialize straight into the body.
  • No default base URL or model, so keys go only to the explicitly configured vendor endpoint.
  • Retries obey Retry-After under a whole-call budget, with secrets kept out of logs and errors.
  • Pluggable tower transport, Tokio time-driver runtime, and flags for hyper, macros, and tracing.

Watch out

Requires a Tokio runtime with timing enabled and a recent Rust toolchain on edition 2024; raw-question and numeric edge cases follow the documented serializer behavior. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
