About this project

Unofficial Go and Rust clients for the TypeSafe AI System One API. System One models, including TypeSafe's flagship model Jev, evaluate text or JSON state against named, typed questions and return structured answers instead of generated text: TypeSafe publishes official SDKs for Python and JavaScript/TypeScript. These clients bring the same behavior to Go and Rust: Typed questions and answers. Structured (JSON) instructions and criteria work, and Choice options keep the order you give them.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Go client uses stdlib only and Rust client is async on reqwest, both reading TYPESAFE_API_KEY.
  • Mirrors official retry policy with backoff, jitter and Retry-After handling.
  • Reports typed errors with server messages and request IDs plus response validation.
  • Supports GET /v1/models, gateway endpoints and credential-redacted logging.

Watch out

Unofficial clients not affiliated with TypeSafe AI; tune confidence thresholds on your own data before acting on answers. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

An unofficial async Rust client for the TypeSafe System One API in which each question hands back a key typed by its answer, so reading a choice answer as a probability fails to compile.

Original write-ups on what this entry is for.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
