About this project

Go client for the TypeSafe AI System One API and its Jev model. Jev answers typed questions about a piece of state and returns calibrated probabilities. It generates no text, so every answer is a value your code can branch on directly. Unofficial client, maintained independently of TypeSafe AI. Zero dependencies outside the standard library.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Requires Go 1.22 or newer with no dependencies outside the standard library, imported as package jev.
  • Typed Noul, Choice, Score, plus RawQuestion and Answer.Raw so future API primitives do not break services.
  • Strict validation rejects bodies missing required fields, with sanitized errors that mask the API key.
  • Jittered retries honoring retry-after with clamps and budget, and a sized connection pool for services.

Watch out

Unofficial client maintained independently of TypeSafe AI, with API-side cardinality limits rather than client-side ones. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
