About this project

Unofficial C++23 client for the TypeSafe AI API. It is a hand port of the unofficial Rust SDK and targets the same wire contract (POST /v1/systemone, GET /v1/models). Callers send named questions about some state and read back typed answers. Read AGENTS.md before writing SDK or integration code. Copy from examples/systemone.cpp. C++23 compiler (clang, provided by flake.nix) All of these are pinned in flake.nix. Format C++ sources with clang-format (style is .clang-format):

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Synchronous blocking client on libcurl with `nlohmann/json`; reads the key via `Client::from_env`.
  • Returns `std::expected` results with no exceptions; the builder compiles only after `api_key(...)`.
  • Layers opt-in coroutines over a caller-supplied `Scheduler`, with bundled thread-pool and inline executors.
  • Retries 408/429/5xx plus connection and timeout errors twice with 0.5s to 5s backoff inside a 30s budget.

Watch out

The author flags it as mostly AI-written and under active fixes; build inside the pinned Nix shell. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
