About this project

A light terminal Gmail client for Omarchy. Arrow keys and Ctrl shortcuts (no vim), categories that are Gmail labels (so they show up on your phone too), and Jev (TypeSafe AI), which files your mail into them and reads your replies before you send them. Sorts your inbox. Every new message goes into the category it fits, as a Gmail label. Jev only acts when it's confident (threshold). Anything personal or unclear stays in the Inbox. Ctrl+J on any message shows how Jev weighed every category, and Enter moves it there.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Sorts new mail into Gmail-label categories at a confidence threshold and keeps personal or unclear mail in the Inbox.
  • Shows per-category weights on demand and grades replies on clarity, tone, length, next step, language, and unanswered questions.
  • Installs as an Omarchy plugin with mail commands, mailto handling, config copies, and an optional five-minute user timer.
  • Supports scripting, JSON output, Claude Code skills, local plus Gmail Drafts, and address-aware From handling over SMTP.

Watch out

Gmail access uses an app password with 2-Step Verification, Jev receives message content for sorting and review, and mail itself stays in Gmail. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Original write-ups on what this entry is for.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
