About this project

A native macOS launcher and window manager. Press Option–Space to open apps, find files, calculate, move windows, and reuse what you copied. For loose requests such as “make this window bigger,” Jevcast can use Jev by TypeSafe AI to match your words to a known action. This is optional and uses your own API key. The launcher works without it. Install with your agent · See what it does · Website. Free and open source under the MIT License.

Highlights

  • Option-Space entry for apps, files, calculations, conversions, window layouts, clipboard, timers, and custom commands.
  • Optional Jev step maps loose wording to a known action using your own key; everything else works without it.
  • SwiftUI and AppKit build with no third-party dependencies, running on Apple silicon and Intel with local core features.
  • Agent install checks toolchain, release tag, remote URL, tests, build, signature, and preserves existing preferences.

Watch out

Jev matching is optional and needs your own key; core search, clipboard, and voice run locally with no account. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

The request shape barely changes across surfaces; the surrounding contract does. When to call the API directly and when a gateway, a Worker binding, or a router entry earns its extra hop.
