About this project

A macOS menu-bar app that turns spoken commands into actions using TypeSafe AI's Jev — a System One model that returns typed decisions with probabilities instead of generated text. v0.9.1 is a public reliability release. Hold ⌥Space to speak and release it to send the command. Toggle mode is available in Settings when you prefer to start and stop listening with a press. Useful links: Design · documentation site. Press ⌥Space, say something, and Jev decides what to do: "open chrome and go to google.com"

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Hold-to-talk plus toggle mode, with app aliases, spoken replies, and optional ask-before-running confirmation.
  • Keeps mixed commands ordered as local open plus Jev-guided UI work with hard-to-undo confirmation.
  • Verifies typing by reading the focused field back and falls back to Unicode keyboard entry when needed.
  • Resolves sites from a bundled registry with overrides and requires confirmation for post, send, and publish.

Watch out

Needs microphone, speech recognition, accessibility, screen recording, and automation permissions; irreversible and browser-submit actions default to confirmation. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

The request shape barely changes across surfaces; the surrounding contract does. When to call the API directly and when a gateway, a Worker binding, or a router entry earns its extra hop.
