Jev Compaction Plus

A Claude Code plugin from cth9191 that gives compaction to Jev: it keeps tool output that is still needed word for word and moves the rest to a drawer file, taking 0.43 to 0.74 s instead of about 35 s on one 591,489-token session. A fork of fast-jev-compaction.

  • Jev answers a yes/no question per old tool result; results under 1,500 characters stay because dropping them saves nothing.
  • Dropped results move to .jev-drawer/<time>/ files Claude can read back; a drawer test recovered one exact line from an old pytest -v run.
  • It is a fork of tamaratran/fast-jev-compaction with three fixes; the original had dropped an 833-character file without ever seeing inside it.

Watch out

README and GitHub metadata reviewed 2026-10-17; the digest truncates the how-it-works diagram and does not include install steps. The README itself says its times and quiz come from one session and one quiz, so treat them as an example rather than a benchmark, and GitHub shows creation and last push on the same day, 2026-10-02.
