Quicksilver

A Claude Code skill that moves bulk judgment off Claude and onto Jev. You filter files, classify items, rank candidates or locate lines, and it returns typed verdicts, a shortlist with borderline markers, and a receipt of the tokens Claude did not read.

About this project

A big share of every Claude Code session is spent reading things only to decide whether they matter. Which of these 187 files handle auth? Which of these 3,000 log lines are real failures? Which of these 200 tickets are refund requests? Claude reads it all, pays for it all, and the context fills up with noise.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • One npx installer copies the skill into ~/.claude/skills/quicksilver and asks for a Jev key once; no npm dependencies.
  • Commands cover file filtering, line-level log triage, label classification, ranking, and finding lines in huge files.
  • Output is one line per hit, repeated log patterns collapsed into ranges, and a ? on anything borderline.
  • Every run ends with a receipt: items scanned, matches, borderline count, elapsed time, Jev tokens and cost, Claude tokens avoided.

Watch out

The benchmark is the maintainer's own: twelve tasks scored against hidden ground truth, with Claude-side tokens reduced by a fixed per-agent overhead measured from a control task, and the Jev side charged for loading the skill, every command and every byte Claude reads back. Accuracy regresses on several of those tasks, most sharply on log triage. File content is sent to TypeSafe's API, so the README asks you not to point it at anything you cannot share with a third party. It needs Claude Code and Node 18+, and is unaffiliated with Anthropic and TypeSafe. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
