TypeSafe Jev (System One) for DeepSeek Harness: 7 tools (decide, choose, batch), a two-tier auto-guard with metered verdicts, a settings card, a money-first usage pill, a local ledger that survives restarts, a derived remaining balance, per-turn auto-triage, and a live 27-question benchmark (96.3%).

About this project

Jev — TypeSafe AI's System One decision model — as a first-class plugin for DeepSeek Harness (dsh). Jev does not generate text. Given a state plus typed questions it returns typed answers with calibrated probabilities in one parallel API call (70–500 ms published). This plugin exposes that as agent tools, adds an opt-in auto-guard (risk + loop checks), and makes sure the claims are verified, not trusted blindly:

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Three tools: jev_decision answers Choice, Score and Noul in one call, jev_verify re-runs the labeled suite live, and jev_guard_status audits guard state.
  • The opt-in guard runs a free deterministic blacklist first, then asks Jev for a risk noul on anything suspicious and denies above the threshold.
  • There is no mock mode: without a key the tools fail with setup instructions and jev_verify refuses to report numbers it did not measure.
  • Tool results carry a presentation projection, so decisions, guard events and benchmark reports render as cards inside the conversation rather than raw JSON.

Watch out

The accuracy claim comes from the author's own 27-question labeled suite, which includes guard verdicts, and the single recorded miss is a boundary case they document rather than an independent benchmark. Reported median latency ranges from the high two hundreds to under 500 ms depending on the run and network. The guard is advisory by design: it fails open when Jev is unavailable, so a denied command is a strong signal rather than a hard guarantee, and the deterministic blacklist only covers known destructive patterns. Installation needs Node 20 or newer and a recent dsh release candidate, plus a manual loader entry unless you use the plugin market. Release notes also show a version that shipped no behaviour change over the previous one, so a version bump can mean documentation only. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
