This is one of several Jev listings for the same project. The canonical entry is Jev Crash Course — nadeemcite.

About this project

Traditional software can only handle the branches you hardcoded. Agentic systems hand every step to an LLM — flexible, but slow, expensive, and hard to predict. Smart software is the middle path: a fast, cheap decision model at each branch point, with the LLM reserved for the one step that actually needs to write something. That third column is what Jev is for.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Teaches state plus typed noul, choice, and score questions with calibrated probabilities.
  • Uses uv, Python 3.12+, and LiteLLM so any chat provider works for the write half.
  • Pairs levels 0, 5 through 7, and 10 with runnable scripts including timing comparisons.
  • Ends in a ticket-triage capstone with importable package, mocked tests, and live evals.

Watch out

Runnable course needing an early-access key from Level 0 on; written levels explain concepts but examples call the real API. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
