About this project

A wire-compatible re-implementation of TypeSafe's Jev (POST /v1/systemone) that reads typed decisions straight out of an LLM's next-token logits — plus a reproducible benchmark of that approach against Jev itself, on the same public items, through the same scorer (JevBench). Question answered: how far does "an off-the-shelf LLM + constrained readout, zero training" get you on accuracy, calibration, latency and cost, compared with Jev?

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • No text is generated: option letters are read from one forward pass with softmax over their logits.
  • Mirrors Jev shapes with legend, usage, confidence statistic, and optional fitted temperature scaling.
  • Official SDK works unmodified against it; OpenAI-compatible and local weight backends are supported.
  • Large-model readout matches Jev accuracy but trails on calibration, cost, and latency; small models lag.

Watch out

Choice is limited to 26 single-letter options, packed answers can drift versus separate evaluation, and hosted runs depend on top_logprobs support. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
