Run composer require dmlab/module-catalog-enrich followed by bin/magento setup:upgrade. It needs Magento 2.4.9+ and PHP 8.3-8.5, and pulls in dmlab/module-typesafe-core. The module is licensed under OSL-3.0.
Yes. Answers come from TypeSafe (model Jev): you register at console.typesafe.ai, paste the API key under Stores, Configuration, DMLab, TypeSafe and click Test Connection. You pay TypeSafe directly at $0.042 per 1M input tokens, and the key stays encrypted in your Magento.
Product name, short description and description with HTML stripped up to 6,000 characters, the extra text attributes you selected, the attribute label and its option labels, and your rule text. No customer or order data is sent. Zero data retention is available on TypeSafe's enterprise plan.
Select attributes with up to 254 options, multiselect attributes, and Yes/No attributes. Values are taken from the attribute's existing options; the module never invents text or new options, though a multiselect rule can be set to add missing options.
It fills empty values only by default, and select and Yes/No questions are asked twice with options in opposite order and accepted only when both answers agree above your threshold. Not stated is always an option, so silence never becomes No. Store-view values and human-rejected values are left alone.
Run bin/magento dmlab:catalog-enrich:calibrate --attribute= to measure precision on products that already have a value and get a suggested threshold. New rules start in Shadow mode, where answers are recorded but nothing is suggested, before you move to Review or Auto.
Three attributes on 148 Luma products cost $0.0065. Unchanged products are never sent twice and identical requests are cached. A monthly token budget is configurable, and data TypeSafe refuses is not retried until it changes.
