Questions about this entry
Short answers drawn from the linked project or page.
Create a new project at script.google.com, paste the Code.gs file, add a script property named TYPESAFE_API_KEY with your TypeSafe key, enable the Google Tasks API service, run the run function once, then run install to enable ongoing checks.
For each new email, the script sends the sender, subject, and the first 2,000 characters of the text to TypeSafe's API. Nothing else leaves your Google account, and the repository author does not get access to your mail.
No. It runs inside your own Google account as a single Apps Script file, with no server and no OAuth app. Setup is described as about 5 minutes of point-and-click steps.
Jev identifies date parts such as the month, day, "tomorrow," or "next Monday." The calendar math is done in code counting from when the email was sent, making it deterministic and easy to check, and the result becomes a Google Tasks due date.
If Jev is not sure, nothing happens. The script never sends or deletes anything; it only applies labels, stars, archives, Google Tasks, and digest entries based on Jev's answers.
Every 10 minutes, each new inbox thread goes to Jev in a single request, and all rule questions are answered in parallel. Jev returns probabilities, and plain code decides what actions to take.
No. The script never sends or deletes anything. It can label, star, archive, create Google Tasks deadlines, flag suspicious mail, and include messages in a morning digest.
