Highlights

  • Grouping and ordering decisions are evaluated together in one Jev API request, regardless of how many tabs are in the window.
  • One request per organize or preview; undo sends none. The toolbar badge shows ... while running and a checkmark on completion, then clears.
  • URL credentials, query strings and fragments are stripped before sending; pinned tabs are excluded and page bodies are never read.
  • Sorting rules are free text that replaces the defaults, e.g. put official documentation before tutorials and order groups as Development, Research, Personal.
  • New groups need the setting and the rules to allow them, several related ungrouped tabs, and Chrome built-in AI for naming, which may need a download.

Watch out

Copy reviewed against the truncated repo README on 2026-10-15; the excerpt stops mid-sentence in the how-it-works section about Jev's returned probabilities. The Chrome Web Store listing was not reviewed, and the README warns that API usage may incur charges, with the key stored on-device only.
