About this project

Community .NET client for TypeSafe AI — a port of @typesafe-ai/sdk by Dario Kondratiuk. This is not an official TypeSafe product and is not endorsed by TypeSafe. Behavior is aligned with the JavaScript SDK and the TypeSafe docs. Targets net10.0 (latest LTS) and netstandard2.0. Requires the .NET 10 SDK to build (global.json). Set TYPESAFEAPIKEY in your environment, then: That mirrors the JavaScript quickstart. You can also pass apiKey to the constructor.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Installs as TypeSafe.AI.Sdk with DI support via AddTypeSafeClient backed by IHttpClientFactory.
  • Mirrors JS behavior for questions, defaults, and error hierarchy with typed auth and rate-limit errors.
  • Retries 408, 429, and 500 through 599 with backoff and jitter, honoring Retry-After up to 60 seconds.
  • Runs unit tests on mocked HTTP with no key; live tests skip unless TYPESAFE_API_KEY is set.

Watch out

Community port rather than an official TypeSafe product, and building needs the .NET 10 SDK for net10.0 and netstandard2.0 targets. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

C# client for Jev, TypeSafe AI's System One model. Typed Noul, Choice and Score questions go out with one state in a single round trip and come back with a value, a probability distribution and a confidence number. Choice questions can be built from an enum, so the compiler finds the switch branch you forgot.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
