Watch out
Judgements are probabilistic over 40-line windows with no AST or call graph, so exact-pattern needs stay with grep or Semgrep. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Evaluation windows cap at 40 lines with no regex interpreter, rule layer, AST, or call graph. It cannot prove a check is missing anywhere or guarantee cross-file data flow.
Process JEV_KEY, then TYPESAFE_API_KEY, then invocation-directory .env entries, ignoring empties and never searching parents. Scanning excludes .env files and sends query plus included sources to TypeSafe.
Yes. Dry-run shows the scan plan with no network access, and zero request limit re-scores only cached judgements. Cache keys cover input, query, model, and prompt version.
Zero means the run completed with matches, one means it completed without matches, two means an error or an incomplete run, and 130 means interrupted. File-read, API or budget errors set the run to incomplete. Results go to stdout while statistics and errors go to stderr, so it drops into scripts cleanly.
Only hashes, probabilities and model names. The README says cached entries contain no source text, queries, paths or keys, and that cache keys include the full evaluation input, query, model and prompt version. Judgments are reused by default, so changing threshold or result count does not repeat API calls.
Yes. Pipe text in and use a dash as the path, and the search starts after the input ends, so tailing a log into it works. A dash cannot be combined with explicit file paths, and if you omit paths entirely it searches the current directory when stdin is a terminal, or reads stdin otherwise.
