About this project

A public wall where anyone asks a question in three to fifteen words and Jev, TypeSafe's judgment model, answers yes, no, or it depends in about 100 milliseconds. Every judged ask lands on the wall in realtime, with a running count toward one million and the exact cost of getting there.

Highlights

  • Visitors are limited to three to fifteen words against a 12,530-word allowlist; signed in the limit is sixty words with no word list.
  • One Jev call carries six questions — verdict, unkind, adult, targets a person, mood, topic — and a seventh picks one of four answer lanes.
  • Any safety probability at or above 0.6 marks the ask blocked; otherwise it goes live and every open tab updates without polling.
  • Votes under each card measure Jev rather than changing the verdict, and the resulting agreement rate sits in the count panel.

Watch out

It is a public site, so the moderation rules matter as much as the plumbing: a signed-in ask carrying a held term or a blocklist word is accepted but flagged wallHidden, blurring on the wall and in search for everyone except the author and the admin, while a visitor ask with a held term is refused outright. Auth is Convex Auth v2 on alpha and the AI Gateway is on beta. The judge runs on a Convex deployment token with a direct TypeSafe key only as a fallback, so the app stores no provider key of its own. Ask limits differ sharply between signed-in and signed-out use, which means the wall's tallies describe two populations, and the whole policy lives in one file, convex/questions.ts. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
