An unofficial Rust client for TypeSafe's System One API, the API behind Jev. You send state and typed questions and get one typed answer per question with probabilities your code acts on; the crate is typesafe-rust-sdk and the library is named typesafe.
It is not published by TypeSafe, but its behaviour follows the official Python SDK: the same environment variables and defaults, the same retry policy and the same error kinds. The README calls it the Rust sibling of typesafe-elixir-sdk.
The async client is the default feature and needs a tokio runtime with the time driver. The blocking client suits synchronous code such as a game loop or a CLI and must not be called from inside an async runtime.
Add typesafe-rust-sdk = '0.2' to Cargo.toml for the async client, or enable the blocking feature, and set TYPESAFE_API_KEY. The README shows example commands such as cargo run --example triage --features blocking.
All models take 64k tokens per request and 32k per question; CallOptions::long_context raises both to 262k at the same price but slower and less accurate. Box questions are rejected with a plain 400 on models before jev-1.14.0.
Every call returns a typed Error with kind, status, message and request id. Retries follow the official SDKs: up to 2 retries on 408, 429 and 5xx, timeouts and connection failures, with 500 ms backoff doubling to 5 s and a 30 s budget per call.
An Image is a PNG or JPEG referenced by name in the state or questions; BoxQuestion answers with a box whose edges are fractions of the image, and a box always comes back, so ask a Noul about presence in the same call. Images are experimental and billed as input tokens.
