About this project

A PHP client for the TypeSafe AI evaluation model, Jev. Give Jev a state and a set of typed questions, get back one typed answer for each question. As easy as that. Tested on PHP 8.2 and later. Install with: There are three kinds of objects you work with: TypeSafeClient sends requests. Build it with the static createInstance() factory. SystemOneRequest retains the state/questions to evaluate. Easy to build using a fluent interface.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Fluent SystemOneRequest builder plus attribute-driven evaluate that fills result classes directly.
  • State and descriptions accept strings, arrays, objects, or null, with private properties sent for objects.
  • Result accessors expose probabilities, confidence, legends, resolved model, and token usage.
  • Retries timeouts, rate limits, and server errors twice; auth and validation errors surface as Guzzle exceptions.

Watch out

The key is optional but falls back to TYPESAFE_API_KEY and raises when neither is set; base URL override follows the JS and Python SDKs. Default model is jev-latest. Accessors throw on missing IDs or type mismatch. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
