No TypeSafe key is used. You create a Vercel AI Gateway key, copy `.env.example` to `.env`, set `AI_GATEWAY_API_KEY`, and the service calls the fixed `typesafe-ai/jev` model through the gateway.
It deliberately avoids them. The digest says to keep questions and decision thresholds in each calling project, because the service returns answers plus provider metadata without deciding what a probability means.
Yes. Python projects call the same `/v1/evaluate` endpoint with their usual HTTP client, and Docker projects join the gateway network at `http://jev-gateway:8787/v1/evaluate`.
Anyone could spend your gateway quota. The digest notes the service has no caller authentication and binds 127.0.0.1, so keep it on loopback and never put it on the public internet.
It pins the model to typesafe-ai/jev on the Vercel AI Gateway and calls it through AI SDK 7's experimental_evaluate. A TypeSafe API key is not used, and Vercel's provider metadata comes back in the response when supplied.
