Jev4pg

A Jev harness for PostgreSQL: 41 semantic operators plus a native Rust extension evaluate row-level predicates with Noul questions and keep the returned probabilities for explicit decision thresholds, leaving joins and aggregation to SQL.

Highlights

  • Native jev_native.scan takes a SQL source plus JSONB questions and returns decisions per row; require_bool raises on unresolved answers.
  • SEMANTIC(body, '...') filters rows through Jev while PostgreSQL performs GROUP BY, joins and exact arithmetic.
  • Ships a Python workspace, HTTP API, CSV import up to 5 MB and 10,000 rows, and English/Simplified Chinese queries.
  • Release v0.7.0 with a native extension 0.2.0 preview; Apache-2.0; about 214 stars.

Watch out

Native maintained-feature refresh and semantic write review remain on the roadmap, and provider calls can incur usage in either version. Apache-2.0 licensed.

Local-first knowledge search with seven selectable pipelines: BM25 plus Jev reranking is the default vector-free path, plus agentic, embedding-hybrid, taxonomy, gate and line-search modes. Precision-first RAG orchestrator that wires Jev as a System 1 gate around an LLM: it routes chitchat, triages retrieved chunks with relevance and answer-evidence Nouls, then verifies each claim and withholds drafts whose claims are unsupported.
