GitHub Star Classifier with Jev

Highlights

  • Dry-run is the default; nothing is created or changed on GitHub until you pass --apply.
  • Normal runs skip stars already in the taxonomy; --reclassify re-judges them, replacing only its managed list memberships.
  • Results below the confidence threshold (0.50 by default, set with --threshold) are reported and left untouched.
  • --compare PROVIDER:MODEL logs a frontier model's answers via TypeSafe's system-one-adapter; Jev still decides, and a summary reports agreement.
  • --private-lists creates any missing managed GitHub Lists as private; --limit and --repo keep test runs small.

Quickstart

bash
uv sync
export TYPESAFE_API_KEY="..."
uv run python src/main.py --limit 20
uv run python src/main.py --threshold 0.65 --apply

Watch out

Copy reviewed against the truncated repo README on 2026-10-15; the excerpt cuts off inside the taxonomy section and GitHub metadata lists no licence. The included taxonomy was built from one ~800-star collection (web frontend, React Native, PHP and AI coding agents) and the README says to customize it before running it on your own stars.
