About this project

jeffhub.ai · Hugging Face · Jeff-Code · Adapters · GGUF · Quick start · Changelog. New: Jeff-Code , Jeff inside a coding agent with Qwen 3.8-27B: 47% faster (32% less time) per task, same pass rate (62.4% vs 62.8%, 1,242 tasks, 6 benchmarks). Results →. Jeff is a 0.8B open "System 1" model. Let a strong local model such as Qwen3.8-27B do the writing and planning, and let Jeff make the quick decisions in front of it. Across 8 adapters\, with the same test rows each way:

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Nine LoRA adapters, about 41 MB each, cover guard, triage, intents, tools, grounding, nav, emotion, spam, and clause types.
  • Returns calibrated per-option probabilities from a single forward pass, with no generated text to parse.
  • Reports 95.3% mean accuracy against 86.6% for the larger model alone, at 0.25 s versus 8.1 s per decision.
  • Question types are choice with up to 254 options, noul for yes or no, and score on a scale, over HTTP or the TypeScript client.

Watch out

Every figure is the maintainer's own measurement: one machine, MLX, a fixed 300-row sample per task with 500 for emotion and legal-clauses, and a per-adapter confidence threshold tuned on separate calibration rows. The headline averages deliberately exclude emotion, and the README notes that including it shrinks the gap to 91.4% against 80.9%. v1.2 is labelled a community preview with a successor base already announced, and adapters do not carry over between base versions. Training data is synthetic, written by hosted models, and some public sets in the mix contain closed-model-generated text. The visible README states no license. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

A self-hosted implementation of TypeSafe's Jev System One API powered by the 400M-parameter GLiFormer encoder: it serves choice, score, and noul and drops into the official typesafe-sdk via TYPESAFE_BASE_URL, but trails Jev on reasoning-heavy tasks.

Go CLI for Jev with noul, choice, score, eval, rank, and models commands: rank sends one Score question per item per weighted YAML dimension in a single request and sums weight times score in code, while threshold flags turn a failed gate into exit code 10 for scripts and CI.

Jev takes text only; Clef-omni adds image, audio, and video input and Liquid d1 adds images, each keeping the same typed-answer shape. Where that matters, where it does not, and the costs the vendors underplay.
