Judging With TypeSafe

A Letta agent skill that wraps TypeSafe System One (Jev) as a cheap external judge for texts and decisions, plus a paragraph scanner that maps where a document argues, lists, asks, or admits uncertainty. The README is in Russian.

Highlights

  • scripts/typesafe.py exposes noul, choice, score and batch calls over one state; scan_text.py maps documents paragraph by paragraph.
  • Reported spread of 0.004 to 0.014 across eight identical runs, about 306 input and 20 output tokens and roughly two seconds a call.
  • Interpretation rules are the real content: 0.30 to 0.70 counts as uncertain, and a single-question rubric was measured to backfire.
  • It documents its own failure case, with a fabricated source scoring 0.80 against 0.87 for the genuine one.

Watch out

The skill is presented as a judge for criteria, not a fact-checker: the README says outright that it cannot tell strict knowledge from scientific-sounding emptiness, and hands off verification of facts, citations and accountability. It also records that a single-question rubric produced a negative gap, with pseudo-scientific nonsense scoring 0.74 to 0.82 where a textbook passage scored 0.48, which is why it ships a four-question set and insists on calibrating the threshold against a contrast pair first. Calibration testing covered eight known-answer cases, six of them within 0.15. Cost and speed figures are the author's own measurements against a normal LLM baseline in the thousands of tokens. The README notes the skill was prepared by an agent and that TypeSafe AI has no part in it, and it is MIT licensed. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
