Four small Pydantic AI demos that put a Jev question at a fixed hook, before the model runs, before a tool runs or after the run ends, and act on the number.

Pydantic AI capabilities made stronger with Jev: small runnable demos, one file each

These are small, runnable examples of Pydantic AI agents where Jev makes the quick calls: is this prompt ok, should this command run, should the bird flap. Jev is not a chatbot. You do not talk to it, and it does not write anything back. You give it a situation and one question. The situation can be any JSON, like a prompt, a shell command, or the state of a game. The question has a fixed answer shape, and there are two of them: Yes or no. "Is this prompt harmful?" You get back a probability from 0 to 1.

Watch out
These are snippets to copy, not an installable integration: each guard is a short dataclass you lift into your own project, and the README reduces the design to three decisions, which hook, what state you pass, and what the question says. The latency and cost figures, a few hundred milliseconds and roughly a thousandth of a cent per call, are the author's claims rather than a published benchmark. The snippets import from pydantic_ai_harness, which the README does not explain installing, and they pass 'anthropic:claude-fable-5' as the model id, so expect to substitute a model your account can actually reach. Loop detection at the after_node_run hook is listed in the README as not implemented yet. The Flappy Bird example is the author shoehorning Jev into a game loop, which is the point about call frequency but not a realistic integration. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
