About this project

A Jev-compatible multi-backend System One gateway, written in Go. hearim exposes the TypeSafe AI Jev POST /v1/systemone contract over ordinary autoregressive backends — Ollama Cloud, llama.cpp, vLLM, SGLang, and generic OpenAI-compatible servers — by compiling Choice / Score / Noul questions into single-token multiple-choice problems and restoring a probability distribution from the candidate labels' logprobs.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Compiles Choice, Score, and Noul into single-token multiple-choice with conditional softmax.
  • Derives confidence as 1 minus normalized entropy; diagnostics ride on response headers only.
  • Tries selected IDs, top-k, teacher-forced label, constrained vocab, then choice-text scoring.
  • Verifies single-token labels per model at boot and persists registries under data/registries/.

Watch out

Probabilities are wire-compatible conditional distributions, not numerically identical to TypeSafe, and strict mode fails with 529 when candidates are unrecoverable. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.

Original write-ups on what this entry is for.

The request shape barely changes across surfaces; the surrounding contract does. When to call the API directly and when a gateway, a Worker binding, or a router entry earns its extra hop.
