About this project
PHP SDK for TypeSafe AI — small units of AI intelligence you can use like programming primitives. TypeSafe's System One models, including Jev, turn natural language and application state into typed judgments and probabilities that code can combine. A single request evaluates any number of typed questions about the same state, and your code owns the workflow: routing, thresholds, ranking, and side effects. PHP 8.2 or newer with ext-json.

The core SDK never reads the environment — only the Laravel bridge does — so outside Laravel you must pass the API key, base URL, and timeout explicitly.

By design it cannot. The SDK ships no global functions; everything lives in the Binnash\Typesafe namespace so installing it never reserves identifiers such as Question::choice in the global scope. The README frames that as a deliberate guard against collisions with Laravel's own helpers and other packages.
That is intentional: the core SDK never reads the environment, so configuration stays under your application's control and you pass the API key, base URL, and timeout explicitly. Only the Laravel bridge reads env vars, among them TYPESAFE_TIMEOUT and TYPESAFE_MAX_RETRIES.
No. A noul answer is a single probability between 0.0 and 1.0, and the README is explicit that a value near 0.5 means yes and no are similarly likely rather than medium intensity. Use isYes() with the 0.5 default or pass your own bar, such as isYes(0.9).

State is a string or structured data such as a record or chat log, and questions are a named map where the names are keys in your code only, never sent to the model, so the full meaning belongs in the question text. Instructions may also be a JSON object or array when a question needs structure.
Through ClientConfig, or the ClientConfig::make() shorthand. Beyond the key it takes baseURL, defaultModel, a per-attempt timeout in seconds, a RetryPolicy, an optional PSR-3 logger with a logLevel of debug, info, warn, error or off, defaultHeaders, and optional PSR-18 and PSR-17 overrides that are otherwise discovered from your project. The API key is always redacted from var_dump() and json_encode() output.
It fails loudly depending on how you read it. Answers are immutable and keyed by the names you chose: property access returns null, get('tone') throws when the answer is missing, and noul(), choice() and score() throw on a type mismatch. SystemOneResult also carries model, usage and requestId, and json_encode($result) produces the response body plus request_id.
Yes. systemOne takes a model argument such as 'jev-1.13.0' plus an options array with headers, a per-call timeout and a retry override, and an extra map that forwards future top-level payload fields without ever overriding state, model or questions. Per-request headers merge case-insensitively, but the SDK-owned headers, including Authorization, X-TypeSafe-SDK and X-TypeSafe-Retry-Count, cannot be overridden.
