TypeSafeSharp

An unofficial .NET client for TypeSafe AI's System One API and the Jev model, bringing official JS and Python SDK behaviour (retries, errors, key handling) to netstandard2.0 and net10.0 with typed answers, dependency injection and OpenTelemetry tracing.

Highlights

  • Targets netstandard2.0 (for .NET Framework 4.7.2+) and net10.0, clean for trimming and NativeAOT.
  • Typed Choice and Noul answers; unknown answer types are kept rather than thrown.
  • EvaluateManyAsync runs batches with bounded concurrency and yields results as they finish.
  • AddTypeSafe wires dependency injection over IHttpClientFactory; a missing key stops the app at startup.
  • Can point at other /v1/systemone gateways, such as OpenJEV or a local rev serve, via BaseUrl and DefaultModel.

Quickstart

csharp
using TypeSafeSharp;

using var client = new TypeSafeClient(new TypeSafeClientOptions());

var response = await client.SystemOneAsync(
    "I was charged twice this month. Please fix it today.",
    new Dictionary<string, Question>
    {
        ["category"] = Question.Choice("What is this message about?", "billing", "technical", "other"),
        ["is_urgent"] = Question.Noul("The customer needs action today"),
    });

Watch out

README reviewed 2026-10-17; the package is unofficial and ports behaviour from the official SDKs, so it can lag behind a TypeSafe release; a nightly OpenAPI diff and a weekly live-test job are the stated mitigations, and retried timeouts can bill twice because the API has no idempotency key.
