About this project

Elixir client for System One decision models: TypeSafe Jev, Cloudflare Clef, OpenRouter's decisions endpoint, and anything self-hosted that speaks the /v1/systemone wire format (for example CLM). You send a state (any JSON) and a map of typed questions; you get back typed answers with their full probability distributions, never collapsed to a single pick. That is what a router or a gate needs: top-k over a Choice, a threshold on a Noul, a level cut on a Score.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • One behaviour: SystemOneClient.evaluate(state, questions, opts), with SystemOneClient.HTTP for real calls and SystemOneClient.Stub for tests with no network.
  • Four providers behind one option: :typesafe (default jev-latest), :cloudflare (clef or clef-flash), :openrouter, and :compatible with a required url.
  • Answers keep full distributions, which the README frames as what a router or gate needs: top-k over a Choice, a threshold on a Noul, a level cut on a Score.
  • Retries on 429, 529, 502, 503, 504 and transport errors honour Retry-After; default receive_timeout is 2,000 ms with max_retries 2.
  • Depends only on req, jason and telemetry; telemetry metadata never includes state, questions, bodies or keys.

Watch out

Apache-2.0, extracted from a Jido tool-routing experiment that lives on a separate branch. It is a small, early-stage library (3 stars), so pin the version and expect a narrow surface.

Closed weights have not stopped the ecosystem from rebuilding the shape in the open. API-compatible servers, retrained heads on small models, and inference-time tricks that skip generation entirely.
