Questions about this entry
Short answers drawn from the linked project or page.
OPENROUTER_API_KEY (ticker lookup, keyword trees, topic refresh) and TYPESAFE_API_KEY (Jev article and keyword evaluation) are required. FINNHUB_API_KEY is optional and only adds US ticker news. APP_PASSWORD, SESSION_SECRET and WORKER_API_TOKEN are also required.
Only OpenRouter and TypeSafe spending costs money; collection is free. The repo reports roughly $3 per month for three tickers after the market-topic change, with a default $5 monthly budget, a warning at 80%, and an AI halt at 100%.
Jev scores each collected article for relevance and impact on a 0-10 scale and labels it bullish, bearish, or neutral; the timeline shows articles above both thresholds. Jev also grades candidate keywords when building ticker keyword trees.
Yes, through a Cloudflare Quick Tunnel address shown on the /status page. The address changes whenever Docker restarts, and the laptop must stay powered on and awake or access and collection both stop.
Data lives in a local SQLite database inside the Docker volume. A worker backs it up daily at 04:00 KST into the backups folder, keeping the seven most recent files, and the backups folder is excluded from git.
It is a personal, single-user app with one shared login password, dependent on a laptop staying on, using a tunnel documented as test and development use with no uptime guarantee. Tickers missing from its official lists, such as Korean preferred shares, ETFs and US OTC names, cannot be registered.
