Who decides what: the LLM, Jev, or the controller?

The planner proposes and repairs while Jev screens candidates, compares transport options, answers typed planning questions, and reviews the itinerary. The controller keeps IDs, versions, timing math, validation, and retry limits, so model output never silently becomes fact.

Can I try it without signing up for map and model keys?

A local scripted replay with no credentials or network calls plus event scrub for every planning and repair step. Live mode adds Amap places and routes with the configured LLM and Jev, which is the only path needing keys.

What does setup actually require for live planning?

Clone, npm install, copy the example env to .env.local, and run dev on 127.0.0.1 port 3100. Live mode needs Amap, TypeSafe, and LLM keys plus model name, with further options in the example env file.

What trip can it plan today and what is missing?

Mainland Chinese cities, one day, real POIs with walking and public transit, streamed events, bounded repair, and replay or export of a run. Multi-day trips, bookings, accounts, persistent history, and verified opening hours are explicitly out of scope.
