How does Jev fit into a Flue agent that already has a chat model?

Chat stays generative while routing stays evaluative. The agent calls a route_with_jev tool built from a typed question map and gets structured choices, probabilities, and confidence back instead of asking the chat model to classify.

Which API keys do I need to configure for this demo?

There are none in the app config. Wrangler supplies env.AI from the ai binding, and your normal Cloudflare login covers auth. The account still needs AI Gateway credits for the third-party models.

What is the fastest way to see a Jev routing verdict?

Run pnpm demo for one authenticated Jev request, or POST state JSON to /api/route while dev runs. For the full agent, POST to /agents/support/demo-1 and then stream the conversation endpoint.

Can I verify the wiring without spending on model calls?

Yes. Tests mock the Worker binding and check types and build with pnpm test, pnpm check:types, and pnpm build. A credential-free health check is available at /api/health while dev runs.

About this project

A standalone Cloudflare-targeted Flue example. Application AI requests go through the Worker's AI binding and its default AI Gateway: Typed routing uses TypeSafe Jev (typesafe/jev). There are no application API keys or account-ID environment variables.
