Jev Connector

About this project

A WordPress connector for the TypeSafe System One API. It gives your themes and plugins a typed way to ask questions about content and get back values you can branch on: a probability, a named choice, or a score, each with a confidence figure. No prose parsing. No prompt wrangling in your template files. Status: 0.x, pending review for the WordPress plugin directory. The public API may still move before 1.0; changes are recorded in CHANGELOG.md.

Highlights

  • Registers as a non-generative service connector, so core masks and stores the key without running AI Client validation against it.
  • Three primitives in one call: a noul probability, a choice with its distribution, and a score against a rubric you define.
  • REST at POST /wp-json/jev/v1/ask behind edit_posts by default, plus a status route and ten named filters.
  • is_confident() gates choice and score; on a noul it measures distance from 0.5, so 0.97 and 0.03 are both confident.

Watch out

It is 0.x and pending review for the WordPress plugin directory, so the public API may still move before 1.0; the changelog records what changed. WordPress 7.0 or later is required because the key rides core's Connectors API, and there is no fallback field for older versions. It adds no menu of its own: the card in Settings is the whole UI, and the plugin only carries the question and the answer, leaving the decision to the theme or plugin that owns the content. Nothing is sent until a key resolves and your own code makes the call. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
