About this project

Say it once. jevmem saves the decisions, rules and failed approaches from your Claude Code chats to JEVMEM.md in your repo, and brings the relevant ones back next session. Before Claude runs a command or edits a file, it checks the call against your saved rules. It is open source (MIT), built on TypeSafe AI's Jev, in Anthropic's Claude plugin directory and on the MCP Registry, and works with Cursor and Codex over MCP. In Anthropic's Claude plugin directory · On the MCP Registry · Open source, MIT.

Highlights

  • Secrets are scrubbed on the machine. Jev answers a fixed set of questions, and thresholds in jevmem.config.json decide save or skip.
  • A saved line is at most 200 characters. A replaced line stays in the file, tagged superseded.
  • On 66 author-written turns, jevmem auto scored 98.5% save/skip and 95.5% save-plus-kind, at 300 ms p50 and $0.000127.
  • A 44-line poisoning set blocked 20 of 22 planted lines, with 0 of 22 false blocks.
  • The Stop hook is async. It exits in 12–14 ms, and the Jev decision is recorded 0.26–0.28 s after it starts.

Watch out

MIT. v0.5, and every eval set was written by the author. GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5 scored higher on save-plus-kind. Automatic capture is Claude Code only. The poisoning gate missed 2 of 22 planted lines.
