Jevcraft

A mineflayer-based Minecraft bot whose decisions are made entirely by TypeSafe's Jev System One model: code lists the legal actions and Jev picks one in about 0.2 seconds for roughly 1.7 cents per bot-hour. Fifteen of 40 fresh worlds reached the Nether; none has beaten the game.

Highlights

  • Code decides what is possible, Jev decides what to do; every play question also offers a none_good option that logs missing moves.
  • Measured 2026-09-28: about 130 decisions per bot-hour, median answer 186 ms, roughly 3,100 input tokens per decision.
  • 15 of 40 worlds reached the Nether (fastest 7 minutes, median 28); getting six blaze rods is the current wall.
  • A shared ledger rests options that failed twice, and a replay suite re-asks recorded questions live five times before merges.
  • Fixes come from Claude subagents triaging death timelines; Jev itself is never retrained.

Watch out

README reviewed 2026-10-17; the numbers come from the author's own trial logs around 2026-09-28, the bot has not beaten the game, and there are no fallbacks when the Jev service is down: the bot holds and waits rather than deciding anything in code.
