This is one of several Jev listings for the same project. The canonical entry is Jev Lab — jammaru.
Highlights
- FastAPI app with a single HTML/JS page and no build step; Python 3.11+ and MIT licensed.
- Runs without an API key in simulated mode; a bundled cache.json holds real Jev and Mistral Small answers.
- Anti-scam mission uses 22 fictional SMS and email cases with two thresholds and a penalty score.
- Duel tab reports errors, latency, cost per 1,000 decisions, format errors, and a calibration table.
- Admin tab offers per-participant stats, cache prewarming, cache-only mode, and an optional leaderboard.
Questions about this entry
Short answers drawn from the linked project or page.
Clone the repository, run uv sync, copy .env.example to .env, then uv run --env-file .env python run.py. A first name is enough to enter, and the app listens on the PORT variable, 8080 by default.
No. With TYPESAFE_API_KEY empty the app runs in simulated mode, and the cache.json shipped in the repository contains real Jev and Mistral Small answers for the current case sets.
Any OpenAI-compatible endpoint configured through LLM_API_KEY, LLM_BASE_URL, and LLM_MODEL. The default is Mistral with mistral-small-latest, using /chat/completions and response_format json_object.
They bet on the 22 fictional SMS and email cases where Jev will hesitate, set two thresholds (let through, check, block), and aim for the fewest penalty points, then write a question that exposes a wrong-number scam.
The same batch and thresholds run through Jev and the LLM, reporting errors, latency, cost per 1,000 decisions, format errors, and a calibration table asking whether a stated 90% is right nine times out of ten.
Yes. Missions live in data/datasets/*.json and the Discover scenarios in data/presets.json. After changing questions or cases you should prewarm the cache again from the Admin tab.
All bundled cases are fictional and scam links use reserved .example domains. API keys stay server-side, leaderboard and stats are held in memory and cleared on restart, and Jev's API is hosted in the United States.
