Julia 1

Supersonic Labs' 144.3M-parameter decision model on mmBERT-small: choice, score, and noul answers from supplied options in one pass, 73.15% on 2,000 typed decisions, Apache-2.0.

Highlights

  • 144.3M parameters with a 550.5 MiB fp32 checkpoint, trained from JHU CLSP's mmBERT-small encoder.
  • One pass scores all named questions; each choice accepts 2 to 20 options and score answers are zero-based rubric indexes.
  • Its 73.15% on typed decisions edges the supplied Jev reference (72.70%) by 0.45 points, per the card's own protocol.
  • The Banking77 pilot trails at 64/100 against an 87/100 reference — the card's own example of where a small model misses.

Quickstart

python
from julia import load_model

engine = load_model("Julia-1", device="cpu", strict_encoding=True, max_length=8192)
result = engine.predict(
    state="I was charged twice for the same order.",
    questions={
        "team": {
            "type": "choice",
            "instructions": "Which team should handle this request?",
            "criteria": {"billing": "Billing disputes", "shipping": "Delivery issues"},
        },
    },
)
print(result["answers"]["team"]["choice"])

Watch out

Native calls accept 2–20 options. Grouped routing can lose the correct answer while narrowing, and its final probabilities cover only the finalists, so a grouped result is not a global distribution. The 73.15% comes from the checkpoint's own benchmark protocol, not a third-party rerun.
