It is a Chrome extension that sorts Hacker News comments into buckets while you watch. You pick the buckets, press Run, and Jev classifies each comment into one of them in about 300 ms; hovering a bucket shows everything sorted by probability.
Download the repository as a ZIP or git clone it, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and select the hn-jev-sorter folder, then pin it from the toolbar menu. Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers work.
A setup page opens when you install the extension: paste a key from console.typesafe.ai/keys and click Save. It checks the key with one small request and stores it in Chrome's local extension storage; the README says it is only ever sent to api.typesafe.ai.
Up to 12 buckets, each with a name and a description. The README recommends describing what belongs in a bucket rather than relying on its name, because Jev reads the description. An Other bucket is always included, and Reset to suggestions restores the defaults.
