About this project

🌖 JevEmbed: Turn Embeddings into Decisions. One-Stop Decision Toolkit for Embedding Models: data synthesis, fine-tuning, inference, benchmarking, and interactive exploration. 29/9/2026: 📏 Added a versioned benchmark module with multi-file JSONL cases, unified Choice/Score/Noul evaluation, and structured JSON results. 28/9/2026: ✨ Released JevEmbed-Qwen3-Embedding-4B, fine-tuned on JevEmbed-Data, with merged weights and a LoRA adapter.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Fine-tunes Sentence Transformers encoders on Choice, Score and Noul supervision, including soft targets.
  • Released checkpoints cover KaLM and Qwen3-Embedding backbones, with merged weights and a LoRA adapter.
  • Versioned JSONL benchmarks emit per-model results, a predictions file and a comparison summary.
  • Core imports and --explain work with no weights and no service, so you can read the mapping first.

Watch out

The released JevEmbed checkpoints cap at 1024 input tokens while the base Qwen3 and KaLM configs allow 32768, which is the most likely surprise when swapping backbones. The fine-tuning recipe is stated for the three released models only, and the README publishes no accuracy numbers for the tuned checkpoints against their untuned baselines. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
