About this project

A Chrome extension that adds a second chat column showing only the Twitch messages worth reading. ibai, 74,000 viewers, recorded 2026-09-19, played at 3x. Helpful, then Questions, then Funny. You need Chrome and a TypeSafe key. No account with us, no build step. Unzip it. You get a folder called extension. Turn on Developer mode. The switch is in the top right. Open any live Twitch channel. Click the gear in the Jev Chat column on the right. (You can also use Details, then Extension options.)

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Intent chips filter live chat into Helpful, Questions, Funny, Feedback, or Everything meaningful without rewriting messages.
  • Install is an unpacked developer-mode load; key testing and intent switching happen inside the added column.
  • Spending stops at a configurable hourly cap, and switching intents re-sorts cached messages at no extra cost.
  • Key stays in browser-local storage and is sent only to the Jev endpoint; host permissions cover Twitch and the API only.

Watch out

Chrome only with no Firefox build, one channel at a time, and relevance scores do not establish factual truth. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
