About this project

Single-pass Neural Answer Probabilities Ask everything. Generate nothing. local · deterministic · Jev wire-compatible · emnlmn.github.io/snap. snap is a decision engine for LLM pipelines. The input is your data plus every question you have about it; the output is a set of typed answers, each with its full probability distribution, from a single pass over the model. There is no generated text, so there is nothing to parse, retry or clean up.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Turns every question into a single-letter prompt and shares one prefill KV cache across all questions in the request.
  • Decodes all questions in one batched call with per-question coverage and full x_snap accounting of tokens and timing.
  • Speaks the Jev wire format on one endpoint and adds numeric, abstain, layout, and large-option extensions.
  • Renders object states as compact lines to cut prompt tokens while answering identically on structured inputs.

Watch out

Behavior depends on the chosen open model and prompt layout, and persuasion toward a wrong option remains possible though measurable. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
