Docket
Go terminal document classifier built on Jev. It copies a document into a local library, extracts its text, and asks Jev five typed questions covering category, sensitivity, urgency and whether action is required, then files the copy using deterministic Go thresholds and SQLite metadata.

Run the install script from the repository, which detects Intel or ARM, verifies the release archive against its SHA-256 checksum, and installs docket to ~/.local/bin. Set DOCKET_INSTALL_DIR to choose another directory, or use go install with Go 1.23 or later.
Classification requires a TypeSafe API key. PDF and image extraction also requires an OpenAI or OpenRouter API key. Plain-text and Markdown files are read locally and do not require an extraction-provider key.
Keys are read without echoing and stored in the operating system keychain under the docket service. They are never written to config.json or SQLite. Environment variables take precedence over the keychain.
Jev answers a Choice for primary category, a Score from 0 to 3 for sensitivity, a Score from 0 to 3 for urgency, a Noul for whether action is required, and a Choice for action state: outstanding, completed, quoted, absent, or unclear.
No. Docket copies a document into a local managed library, extracts its text, classifies it, and files the copy. The source document remains untouched and is not moved or edited.
docket opens the terminal interface; docket add imports files, directories, or stdin text; docket auth status/set/forget manages credentials; docket config sets provider, model, or library; docket models lists extraction models; docket help shows help.
If you need a document editor or a tool that moves or edits originals, Docket is not designed for that: it copies documents into a managed library and leaves sources untouched. Jev also does not run OCR, copy files, or choose filesystem paths.
