Highlights

  • Scans the latest N commits, exactly one SHA or ref, or an inclusive UTC date range, against a local directory or a managed GitHub clone.
  • Filters --only security,change_performance and --cwe 79,89 narrow the displayed classifications while the full saved scan is preserved.
  • Reports estimate Jev cost from reported token usage and known model pricing; scans are saved under ~/.local/share/commit-miner with list, show, and export.
  • Runs up to 8 workers by default and maximum, writes HTML or CSV, and Ctrl+C retains completed results.
  • Ships an agent skill for codex, claude, or opencode via commit-miner install-skill.

Quickstart

Watch out

No license file, so reuse terms are unclear. Needs Rust/Cargo, Git, and a TYPESAFE_API_KEY; managed GitHub clones refresh automatically while local directories use their current HEAD.

found the perfect use case for @typesafeai Jev: instant compaction in 2026, why is compaction still a summarization prompt? Jev can make it instant by scoring every tool call and dropping what’s irrelevant

We're seeing extraordinary results from @typesafeai. Default mode in 𝚏𝚡 is auto, with a safety reviewer analyzing every command. That reviewer runs on GPT Luna today. Jev is up to 18x faster (p95) *and* more accurate. It's coming to @vercel AI Gateway and likely new default.
