A research prototype for reading whole novels alongside a model emotion layer and a character minimap. Built with Next.js and TypeScript. It is a reading instrument for inspecting model output, not a validated emotion map. Nothing here is a benchmark submission, and no highlight should be read as a measurement. Pride and Prejudice opens by default; 31 novels and novellas are available from the document selector.
Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.
Watch out
Every highlight is a whole-sentence association score, not an extracted evidence span, a character attribution or an intensity, and an unmarked passage does not prove a character is absent. Without TYPESAFE_API_KEY the reader still runs but the dial is disabled and nothing is highlighted. A key means paid analysis on scroll, capped for guests at 1,000 calls behind a resettable cookie. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
