Bud Decision Studio

Cross-platform desktop app and serving system for open Jev-like decision models. It runs laya, kev, Jev-Omni and others locally behind the Jev API at POST /v1/systemone, with a playground, versioned templates, decision history and a LoRA Train page.

About this project

Run open decision models on your own computer. Give a model a situation and a few questions; get a calibrated probability for every answer, in milliseconds. The LM Studio of Jev-like "System One" models, from Bud Ecosystem . Documentation: the user manual, installation, guides, API reference and developer docs are in site/docs/, built from the Markdown in site/docs-src/. Open site/docs/index.html in a browser, or serve the site/ folder. One line, and the app opens when it is done:

Highlights

  • Speaks TypeSafe's Jev API plus OpenRouter Decisions and Vercel routes, so Jev code works by changing the base URL to http://127.0.0.1:8420.
  • Ships eleven open models from Julia 1 at 144M to Jev-Omni at 12B, each with a checked example scenario.
  • Six question kinds: pick one, rate on a scale, yes/no, pick any, put in order and estimate a number.
  • Train page reports before/after gains such as Julia 1 on support tickets from 52% to 91%, keeping a model only if held-out examples improve.

Watch out

No license file is present in the repository, so reuse terms are unclear; each model keeps its own license, and training needs an NVIDIA RTX 30-series or newer or an Apple M2 or newer.

Open decision models from a self-improvement loop that publishes every experiment, failures included. They answer Noul, Choice and Score questions on the same POST /v1/systemone wire format as Jev, returning a calibrated probability per option in one forward pass; the 27B scores 65.64 on the Decision Index 0.3 set.

A local Jev-compatible server that reads Choice, Score and Noul answers from the logits of any MLX checkpoint or OpenAI-compatible endpoint with no training, serving POST /v1/systemone as a drop-in for the official TypeSafe SDK.

A local daemon that pulls open decision models and serves them on TypeSafe's /v1/systemone, so a Jev client switches hosts with TYPESAFE_BASE_URL.

A local server that reads next-token probabilities from a fine-tuned Spark model and returns Choice, Score, and Noul answers with zero generated tokens.

An open recipe for a 27B multimodal decision model trained with full-weight SFT on 73,000 examples over one H200, serving choice, noul and score on /v1/systemone with per-checkpoint provenance and released calibration plots.

Original write-ups on what this entry is for.

Jev takes text only; Clef-omni adds image, audio, and video input and Liquid d1 adds images, each keeping the same typed-answer shape. Where that matters, where it does not, and the costs the vendors underplay.
