About this project

Jev is TypeSafe AI's System One model: a fast, calibrated classifier. You give it a state and a map of typed questions — yes/no, pick-one, rate-on-a-rubric — and it answers every one in parallel with a probability over the answer space you defined. It never generates text, so the answer is always inside your schema. jevwire wires it into a harness. The repository is Brainwires/jevwire; the npm package is still published as jevwire and the Claude Code plugin is jev.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • Tools cover rank, pick, verify, evaluate, gate action, next step, and model listing for bounded checks.
  • Library run functions take a DecisionModel interface so tests inject fakes and harnesses enforce mandatory checks.
  • Hooks address Claude rather than the user, with notes after execution and a single deny tripwire before execution.
  • Deterministic prefilters skip reads, tests, status, and ordinary edits; catastrophic shapes trip without model calls.

Watch out

It answers only bounded questions over supplied text, never generation, arithmetic, counting, dates, or multi-hop reasoning, and ordered values should be compared in code. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
