About this project

CLI that asks Jev which agent should handle a task, then opens that app (or the website) and dumps the prompt in. Mac / Windows / Linux. Agent catalog is OS-agnostic; launcher/ has the platform bits. Mac: Safari → Develop → Allow JavaScript from Apple Events. Accessibility for Terminal if you want desktop auto-type. Win/Linux: Playwright profile lives at /.jev-router/browser-profile (sign in once). Linux desktop paste wants xdotool.

Quoted from the project's README. Read the full README.

Highlights

  • The catalog is OS-agnostic and the launcher folder holds the platform bits, with each key mapping to an app or a web fallback.
  • If the noul probability of the pick passes 0.7 it asks for approval before launching anything.
  • Playwright drives a persistent profile at ~/.jev-router/browser-profile, so web fallbacks need one manual sign-in.
  • test_prompts.py runs a routing smoke test, and adding --launch extends it to actually open the agents.

Watch out

The README is about fifty lines and documents no accuracy numbers for the routing itself, only the flow, so there is nothing here to judge the pick quality against. It drives real desktop applications, which means accessibility permission for Terminal on macOS, Allow JavaScript from Apple Events for Safari, and xdotool for desktop paste on Linux. The key lives in a secrets.env file, so that file has to stay out of version control. Two of the four fallbacks are web sites rather than the agent products, which changes what you get when the app is missing. Copy reviewed against the repository README on 2026-10-04, not from running it.
